Surfer Krystian Kymerson won the gold medal at the Pan Am Surfing Games and became the first person from Espírito Santo to win the state competition title. The championship has ended in this Sunday (30), in Playa Santa Catalina, in the district of Soná, Panama. Kymerson is being considered by the Bolsa Atleta program, of the Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Sesport).

Krystian Kymerson moved into the top spot after passing fellow Canadian Cody Young, who was leading in the opening minutes.
“I want to thank the state government for the support of Bolsa Atleta, which is fundamental and makes us feel more relaxed. So I can only thank you for raising the flag of Espírito Santo higher in this competition, which is very important,” said Krystian Kymerson.

The main objective of the Bolsa Atleta program is to provide high-level athletes and para-athletes with monthly financial assistance that must be used to maintain the results obtained and the athlete’s sports career over the year. from which the benefit is received.
The 2022 edict is the largest in history and has 191 athletes and para-athletes, 40 more than the last. The monthly benefit is passed on to beneficiaries as follows: R$500 (student category), R$1,500 (national category), R$2,000 (international category) and R$4,000 (Olympic category). The total investment of the state government in the program is 3 million reais.
