The largest tech fair in the world starts today in Brasilia

National version of the largest technology event in the world, Campus Party Brasil (CPBSB) starts today and runs until the 27th in Brasilia, at the Mané Garrincha stadium. Besides the federal capital, where it is expected to gather around 70,000 visitors, the event will take place in São Paulo, from July 16 to 20 this year.

Topics to be discussed at the show include the Internet of Things, block chain (cryptocurrency financial services company), culture maker (everyone can build, repair or create their own objects) and entrepreneurship. In addition, there will be robotic arenas, where it will be possible to participate in robot and drone hockey matches, with races and courses for those who want to try it.

Considered a festival of innovation, creativity, science and entrepreneurship, the fourth edition of the CPBB will offer five days of technology, conferences, workshops and hackathons (programming marathon in which the Pirates bring together). The format will be hybrid, with face-to-face activities at the Mané Garrincha national stadium, in addition to the activities on line.

At the opening, the show will present shows DJ Bashkar and the Claudio Santoro National Theater Symphony Orchestra, conducted by conductor Cláudio Cohen. The number of people in the stadium will be limited.

In addition to the mandatory use of a mask, it will be necessary to have the vaccination passport. Otherwise, a PCR or antigen test will be requested 48 hours in advance.

Activities

In the free space open to the public, visitors will have access to Campus Play. The area concentrates the championships of players and content focused on digital games, the Drones Arena and the Empreendedorismo stage, in partnership with the Brazilian Assistance Service for Small and Medium Enterprises (Sebrae), where speakers will provide important information for those who are already undertaking or want to undertake.

At the Campus Arena, a paid space closed to campus residents – this is the name given to visitors – around 7,000 people are expected. They will be able to follow the activities of four different stages, which will cover topics from the world of technology, programming and digital entertainment, the metaverse and games.

At camping, around 3,000 people are expected, making the fair the second largest edition of the Campus Party in the world. In total, more than 300 hours of activities, including conferences, workshops, hackathons, Gamessimulators and other attractions.

Confirmed international speakers include Jordan Soles, Vice President of Technology Development at Rodeo FX, a Canadian visual effects company for film, television and advertising, famous for being the effects designer of the series. game of thrones.

Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, a professor with a doctorate in neuroscience and a degree in biology and history, stands out among Brazilians. He will talk about how the misuse of technology causes cognitive impairment and can lead to disorders, disorders and illnesses.

According to Agrela, the problem in itself is not the technology, but the way it is used, whether through the exaggerated use of social networks, the total immersion of the virtual and other ways approached in several of his studies, published in scientific journals. .

Campus Party will also feature the Startup 360º program, a partnership with Sebrae, which aims to enable startups beginners and experienced exhibit their work. Another striking activity is the business marathon, which aims to imagine new initiatives in a hybrid format.
