The expectation behind the scenes is that Heartland will have a new season. Although there was no official announcement, seasons 15 and 16 were announced closer to the premiere. Both were announced in June and released in August.
The cast for a likely 17th season should be the same as the current lineup. Thus, keeping the characters already marked with their characters. Amber Marshall, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter and Michelle Morgan are the main names in the series.
The television series is based on the book series of the same name, Heartland, by author Lauren Brooke. The story unfolds around Amy Fleming and her sister Louise Fleming. Both live on the family’s Heartland Ranch in Alberta with their father, Tim Fleming, widowed grandfather Jack Bartlett and contract farmer Ty Borden.
