Miami (USA) – After leaving the field in a wheelchair due to a serious left ankle sprainCanadian Bianca Andreescu spoke on social media about what happened Monday night when she said goodbye to the WTA 1000 in Miami.
“I woke up with a foot protector, does anyone know what happened?” began the Canadian, playing with the situation. However, in the footage, she was shown to be worried about the torsion, still awaiting the results of the tests performed.
“It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt, praying it’s not serious. I’m still waiting for the official results. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words, they don’t go unnoticed,” said added Andreescu.
After defeating Emma Raducanu, Maria Sakkari and Sofia Kenin, the Canadian faced Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in the round of 16 in Miami, where she ended up injured. She was losing with partials of 7/6 (7-0) and 0/2 when she retired.
