The last stage of the Federal Network’s mission to Canada was the meeting with the Canada-Brazil Chamber of Commerce, in Toronto, which was held this Friday (04/28) at Lambton College. On this occasion, topics such as the environment, innovation and internationalization were discussed.
The Dean of the Federal Institute of Acre, Rosana Cavalcante dos Santos, participated in the meeting, when she highlighted the importance of the event for the development of collaborative programs between colleges and universities in Brazil and of Canada, contributing to the growth and improvement of educational institutions represented on the forum.
“In addition to the presence of Ifac, we have the participation of other federal institutes in Brazil, Canadian colleges and universities such as Lambton College, Toronto Metropolitan University, the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate of Brazil. During the event, according to the president of Ifac, it was possible to discuss relevant topics, such as innovation and entrepreneurship, the environment, in addition to making contact with several Canadian organizations present. . “It was a rewarding day and we look forward to continuing to work together to further strengthen the relationship between Brazil and Canada.”
Internationalization – The theme of internationalization is understood by the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Network of Vocational, Scientific and Technological Education (Conif) as a tool for institutional and human development, being a transversal axis for the improvement of quality education.
The premise, together with the international protagonism of the institutions gathered in the Council, brought a delegation of directors, managers and advisers to Canada for a series of agendas focused on the exchange of knowledge aimed at strengthening Brazilian vocational training.
According to the dean of the Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF), Jefferson Manhães, head of the Conif delegation and vice president of the WFCP for the Americas, Conif occupies a prominent role within the WFCP. “We coordinate the work of the Global Citizenship Affinity Group and participate in the Sustainability Leadership Panel. In this mission, we strengthen the ties between Brazilian, Canadian and global education. It is Brazil that is once again becoming a leader in international relations,” he stressed.
The delegation led by Conif in Canada was represented by 14 institutions of the Federal Network, namely the Colégio Pedro II and the Federal Institutes of Acre (Ifac), Alagoas (Ifal), Amapá (Ifap), Espírito Santo (Ifes), Fluminense (IFF), Goiás (IFG), Minas Gerais (IFMG), Paraná (IFPR), Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ), Sergipe (IFS), São Paulo (IFSP), Sul de Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) and Triângulo Mineiro ( IFTM).
The group is also made up of pro-rectors and international relations officers, who represent Forinter. The Systemic Director of International Relations, Luiz Eduardo Guedes, accompanied Dean Rosana Cavalcante, as a member of the coordination of the Forum of International Relations Advisors of the Federal Network (Forinter).
