Arrested after stabbing Brazilian teenager Gabriel Magalhães to death on the Toronto subway, the Canadian Jordan O’Brian-Tobin he had already had appearances by the police for several other offenses and was on parole when he killed the young man.

Over the past four years, 22-year-old Jordan has amassed a long list of criminal records involving fraud, theft, arson and threats, in addition to failing to comply with court orders. The information was published by the Canadian broadcaster Radio Canada.

According to the TV channel, less than 2 weeks before stabbing the Brazilian teenager, Jordan O’Brian-Tobin was released on parole after being charged with different crimes, including sexual abuse, for an episode that occurred in October 2021 .

Despite winning the benefit, Justice Canada imposed a series of restrictions such as determining Jordan to attend a program to treat his “mental health”. So far, it hasn’t been revealed if the Canadian has complied with the requirements.

Also according to the publication, O’Brien-Tobin had already been arrested for assaulting a man in Mississauga, in July 2022. In the same city, the Canadian attacked another man with scissors, in 2021.
