Since his arrival in the country, he has already brought several artists to perform there, bringing together more than 30,000 people across Canada, in shows held by his company, Showzaço.

His connection to music comes from the cradle. He was born in the neighborhood of Catete, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in a family of musicians, and from an early age he began to work with the musical and artistic universe. He was manager of Velha Guarda Portela, Mestre Monarco and Tia Surica, among other names. A graduate in journalism, the businessman has also worked on Radio Mania, FM o Dia and Radio Roquete Pinto, all in Rio de Janeiro.

Ulysses says that when he arrived in the country he missed Brazil a lot and little by little he discovered that it was the same feeling as other Brazilians living there. That’s when he decided to turn his desire into a business. “I came here looking for better quality for my family, but sometimes we miss Brazil a lot. It’s wonderful to live here, but it’s not the same joy as in Brazil, this Brazilian swing. The events organized by Showzaço are a way of offering this so that everyone can soothe a little homesickness,” he says.

In addition to the concerts, the entrepreneur has two other events in his portfolio, the Land of Sambawhich brings together Brazilians and Canadians to have fun to the sound of good samba, and the BLAC Music Festival of black music.
