A Microsoft on Tuesday launched a feature for the search engine bing and the on-board navigatorwho will use the technology behind the SLABof Open AI, to create text-based images. The tool, called Bing Image Creator, will be available to users on the latest version with artificial intelligence from the search engine and Edge.

Bing Image Creator will be integrated with Bing Chat, and will initially roll out in creative mode starting Tuesday for desktop and mobile users, Microsoft said.

At the center of this movement are Alphabet’s Microsoft and Google, which tout artificial intelligence capabilities for their most popular products, from spreadsheet Excel to Gmail.

Businesses large and small are racing to deploy software that could reshape the way people work after a frenzy began with the launch of ChatGPT last year, the OpenAI-owned chatbot that showed the potential of software. -called great language models.

Microsoft is looking to outperform its rivals with its investment in OpenAI, which launched GPT-4 last week. The tool performs a range of tasks, from creating an actual website from a hand-drawn mockup to helping individuals calculate their taxes.
