The Shunji Nishimura Technology Foundation (FSNT) has signed an agreement to support innovation in the Maracajú/MS Municipal Education Network.
The signing took place last Saturday (10), at the Municipal School João Pedro Fernandes, within the framework of the commemorations of the 52nd Expomara and on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the city of Mato Grosso do Sul. The Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel (PSDB), attended the event.
The agreement represents an opportunity for Maracajú to become the first city in the country to adopt this educational model in the public school system. The initiative was conceived by the Rural Union of Maracaju, through the director of the Women’s Center, Ana Nery Terra Souza.
The Nishimura Foundation brings a differentiated approach to working with students beginning in elementary school to transform education and the future of children.
The president of the Rural Union of Maracaju, Fabio Olegário Caminha, stressed that the signing of the agreement reaffirms the commitment of the institution to contribute to the development of the community.
He underlined the importance of thinking ahead and building a new methodology, stating that the union will always be present, offering its support. Elvis Fusco, Executive Superintendent of the Shunji Nishimura Technology Foundation, explained the relevance of the adopted methodology.
SINGLE INITIATIVE
This system promotes the renewal of education, placing the student as the protagonist of the learning process. The superintendent emphasized the partnership between teacher and student, the release of learner autonomy and innovation, in addition to the mastery of content.
Fusco also pointed out that Maracajú will be the first city in Brazil to adopt deep learning as a teaching methodology.
FSNT Board Member Jorge Nishimura expressed his satisfaction and emotion for the implementation of this educational philosophy in the first city in the country to adopt this methodology in the public school system.
He stressed the importance of high quality education to transform the country and mentioned the motto “Obrigado, Brasil” as a form of gratitude and a desire to contribute even more.
TEACHING MODEL
Deep learning, also known as deep learning, is an empowering education model that goes beyond the traditional control and command education model.
Created by Tom Rudmik, a Canadian educator, this model empowers students to take control and responsibility for their own learning, increasing motivation and learning effectiveness.
