Brazil qualified with seven of eight doubles for the Round of 16 at the Beach Volleyball World Championship in Rome, Italy. This Wednesday, at the start of the knockout phase, only one green-yellow defeat occurred.

Taiana/Hegê beat the last world champions, Canadians Sarah Pavan/Melissa Humana-Paredes. They opened 1 to 0 and had in the second set 17 to 14. But they took the turn of the favorites.

On the women’s side, the three Brazilian teams are on the same side of the table, so one of the matches will be national in search of a place in the quarter-finals: Bárbara Seixas/Carol Solberg x Duda/Ana Patrícia. Talita / Rebecca, meanwhile, will seek to advance against the executioners of Taiana / Hegê.

On the men’s side, there will be no Brazilian matches in the round of 16. On the same side of the key, André/George and
Bruno Schmidt/Saymon will be able to face each other on Wednesdays, if they win the matches on Thursday.
