Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday called “horrific” the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States (USA), which annulled the protection of the right to abortion in force in the country for 49 years.
“The news from the United States is horrible. My heart goes out to the millions of American women who will lose their legal right to abortion,” he wrote on Twitter.
The news from the United States is horrible. My heart goes out to the millions of American women who are now on the verge of losing their legal right to abortion. I can’t imagine the fear and anger you are feeling right now.

“No government, no politician, no man should tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her body. I want the women of Canada to know that we will always stand up for their right to choose,” a- she added.
The United States Supreme Court today struck down the country's abortion rights protections since 1973, in a landmark ruling that will allow each state to decide whether to uphold or prohibit the right.
The judges of the highest court in the United States, currently with a conservative majority, have decided to overturn the decision of "Roe v. Wade,” which since 1973 had protected women’s constitutional right to abortion.
The ruling does not make abortions illegal, but returns the country to where it was before the landmark ruling, where each state was free to allow or prohibit such a procedure.
