“Petrobras stresses that, even in this period of suspension of administrative services and direct support to the operation, it will continue to adopt all the measures under its responsibility to guarantee the maximum safety of the people and the facilities in which it operates in São Mateus. do Sul,” he said. the public company in a document to which the Broadcast had access.

According to the general coordinator of the Fup, Deyvid Bacelar, “this is yet another scandal that took place at SIX, where Petrobras provided services to Forbes in a TSA that was not paid, which demonstrates the financial and operational incapacity of this group that bought the Paraná refinery in the Almas Basin,” Bacelar said in a note.
According to him, the default granted by the Canadian company is estimated at around 140 million reais, which has led Petrobras to suspend the activities of the contract, the value of which has not been confirmed by the state company.
SIX, located in São Mateus do Sul (PR), was privatized in November 2022, when the lights of the Bolsonaro government went out, acquired by the Canadian group Forbes & Manhattan (F&M). According to the contract, Petrobras would continue to manage the unit until the newly formed company (Paraná Xisto) could operate on its own. Meanwhile, Petrobras would be paid for the work, which did not happen.
According to lawyer Angelo Remédio, of Advocacia Garcez, “this scenario of breach of contract by the Canadian group is yet another basis for taking legal action and reversing this privatization”, he declared in a note from Fup.
