The rain arrived in the last laps in Toronto and was decisive for Michael D’Orlando win race 1 of the Canadian leg of the Pro 2000. With the victory in race 1 which took place on the streets of the capital of the Canadian province of Ontario, the second of the last three races, D’Orlando reached 199 points and took the fourth position in the USF standings Pro 2000.
Rowe, starting from pole position, led 21 laps but made a mistake on the wet track, missing the chance to extend his championship lead. After an eighth-place finish in Race 1 at Toronto, he has 268 points – 64 ahead of Granfors, new to second place.
With a sixth-place finish in the first race, Porto lost ground in the championship fight and fell to third place, with 204 points.
This Sunday (16), from 12:05 p.m., with Rowe in pole position, race 2 of the Toronto stage of the Pro 2000 will take place.
