CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues said in an official note that he was working with FIFA to tackle crimes.

“I have worked with FIFA, other international entities, as well as Brazilian clubs and federations, with the aim of combating any type of crime, fraud or illicit action in football. I defend the suspension preventive on the basis of concrete suspicions and even banishment from sport in proven cases. The president of the CBF also clarified that the competitions currently in dispute will not be suspended. He said he defends punishing those involved for being outspoken.
