Germany beats Serbia to win Basketball World Cup for the first time

The last quarter was full of emotions. Germany did their best to keep the ball on offense and convert their baskets, while Serbia could only win the ball and attack in an attempt to get back into the game. At one point, the Serbs reduced the gap to four points, but they could not continue and lost the opportunity to tie everything.

With less than two minutes left in the game, Serbia set the game on fire again, but there was no way.

If in the first two quarters Serbia was a little better than their opponents, in the last two quarters Germany made a huge leap in quality and dominated the match, crushing their rival. Thus, the Germans became champions of the Basketball World Cup for the first time by 83 to 77 and made history.

Canada beats USA to win bronze medal

Earlier this Sunday, Canada and the United States faced off in the fight for third place. The Canadians took over the Americans and won 127 to 118, thus winning the bronze medal at the Basketball World Cup.

Canada started the match better and won the first quarter with relative ease. The United States, however, reacted and took second place. After the break, the Canadians outdid themselves in the third, but the fourth went to the Americans. The decision was therefore going to be extended.
