Intriguing images invaded social networks last week in the Federal District: Points of light quickly flew over the National Congress on the night of Monday August 14. The lights were also captured passing in the sky of the Esplanada dos Ministérios and then disappeared (watch video above).

Oh g1 contacted the Federal Police to find out if drones were being used in the region on that date. The company said it “does not detail possible investigation methods and techniques.”

Oh Air Force Command stated that “it does not carry out studies and analyzes on the subject, it only catalogs information provided by third parties and periodically sends it to the National Archives”. Detran-DF reported that did not fly over the region on August 13, 14, 15 and 16.

The video was recorded around 8:30 p.m. and sent to Rony Vernet, electronics and IT engineer at Petrobras, who posted it on his social networks five days ago. The images reached more than 200 thousand people on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Vernet is researcher on unidentified anomalous phenomenaknown by the English acronym BANG (Unidentified abnormal phenomena). That’s to say, it studies phenomena that cannot be immediately explainedas is the case in the video above.

On his social networks, Vernet declares that he considers them to be “golden and luminous birds”.

“The only banal explanation would be that of the white birds reflecting the brightness of the city. However, I have never seen anything like this in Brazil, only in the northern hemisphere with birds like Canadian snow geese,” explains the engineer.

According to Vernet, witnesses said they began filming when they saw the glow with the naked eye. The video was taken using a high-end cell phone.

The researcher, who analyzed the images of the objects flying over the National Congress, believes that they are drones. “I believe they are drones, since on the Esplanada there was a March of the Marguerites“, underlines Ticcheti.

Concerning Vernet’s theory, the ufologist rejects it, because the golden and shiny birds are a very rare phenomenon and the movement is similar to that of drones.

“To be a bird and shine like that, it would have to be closer to the street lights,” says Thiago Ticchetti.
