The doubles Camila Lopes and Alice Gomes and Rayan Dutra and Lucas Tobias came very close to the podium this Sunday in the Varna (BUL) stage of the Trampoline World Cup. Both placed fourth in the synchronized trampoline event and accumulated points in the Olympic rankings.
In the synchronized event, Rayan and Lucas qualified for the final in seventh place, with 48,530 points, while sisters Alice and Camila qualified for the medal match in fourth place, with a total of 47 820.
In the women’s final, they scored slightly lower, 47.070, but repeated in fourth place. Gold went to Britain’s Page and Songhurst, with 48,800 points, silver went to USA’s Ahsinger and Webster, with 48,460 and bronze went to Apakidze and Ragimovi, who scored 47,900.
For the men, Lucas and Rayan scored 48.930 in a superb performance. Germans Vogel and Lauxtermann, third, obtained a score of 49.190. Gold went to Canadians Aubin and Soehn, with 51,950 and silver went to Portuguese Lucas Santos and Gabriel Albuquerque, who totaled 49,600.
Camila comes 7th in the individual final
In the women’s individual final, Camila ended up making a mistake in the last part of her presentation and finished seventh with 33,740 points. Gold went to Xueying Zhu (CHN) with 56,630, followed by Yicheng Hu (CHN) with 56,590. Hikaru Mori (JPN) closed the podium with 55.760. Alice finished 14th and made it to the semi-finals with 53,570 points.
Among the men, Rayan Dutra passed the first qualification in 16th position with 58.340. In the second qualification, which functions as a semi-final, he repeated the result, but with a score of 58.040. Lucas Tobias finished 55th with 52.810. Gold went to Langyu Yan (CHN) with 61.460, silver to Zisai Wang (CHN) with 61.310 and bronze to Ryusei Nishoka (JPN) who scored 60.040.
