Between October 20 and 22, 2023, in Allen, United States, the Figure Skating Skate America without the presence of Brazilian athletes.
This event, part of the Grand Prix of Figure Skating, is the first of six events where skaters earn points based on their final ranking. The top six qualify to compete in the finals which will be held from December 7 to 10, 2023 in Beijing, China.
HAS male category the champion was Ilia Malinin, the local athlete, with 310.47 points in total, far from the second, the Frenchman Kevin Aymoz, who scored 279.09 points in total. The Japanese Shun Sato completes the podium with 247.50 points. A total of 12 skaters competed.
HAS female category the champion was the Belgian Loena Hendrickx with 221.28 points in total. American Isabeau Levito took second place with 208.15 points, while Estonian Niina Petrokina finished third with 194.55 points. In this category, 12 skaters also competed.
We pairs (or pairs) there were 7 pairs to make. The winning duo was the German duo of Annika Hocke/Robert Kunkel who together obtained 184.23 points. Just behind, Canadians Lia Pereira/Trennt Michaud obtained 182.59 points. The podium is completed by the American duo formed by Chelsea Liu/Balazs Nagy and their 177.66 points.
HAS ice dancing 10 pairs competed. And with 212.96 points, the Americans Madison Chock/Evan Bates became champions. The Canadian duo Marjorie Lajoie/Zachary Lagha finished second with 196.99 points, followed closely by the French Evgeniia Lopareva/Geoffrey Brissaud with 193.47 points.
