The Molejo group canceled three shows that would take place in Espírito Santo due to the health of singer Anderson Leornado, who was hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism. The official press release was published this Tuesday (12) on the group’s social networks. The presentations will take place in the towns of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the south of the state, and in Vitória and Guarapari, on the 16th and 17th, respectively.

Even after the artist was admitted to a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, the group announced on social media that performances over the next few days would continue with the other five members.

“The Molejo Group advisors are here to update the clinical picture of singer Anderson Leonardo, who had already been diagnosed with pneumonia. However, after a medical examination and new, more specific tests, a pulmonary embolism was noted with a stable condition. Once again, we rely on the prayers and support of friends, fans and entrepreneurs,” reads the official note released by the group.

Currently, Anderson also treats cancer of the inguinal region, in the groin area. The illness was discovered in October 2022. Two months later, the singer announced that he was cured. However, in May this year, the artist said he had to return to treatment.

“I felt something very small and I said: ‘it must be nothing, it must be a little fat’. Then it grew bigger. My girlfriend and I went to the urologist,” said he declared in an interview with “Rocinha Cast”. podcast.

Canceled performances

The canceled shows would take place in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, south of Espírito Santo, in the capital, as well as in Guarapari, in the Vitória metropolitan region.

The first performance will take place in Cachoeiro, during the 4th edition of “Vem Pro Salseiro”, Saturday (16), from 10 p.m.

Due to the show’s cancellation, event organizers announced on social media that all advance ticket purchases would be automatically refunded through the sales website.

The second canceled performance would also take place on Saturday evening (16), at Vital 2023, the largest off-season carnival in the state, held in Vitória. According to the organization, the group was replaced by singer Tiee, who will perform at “Camarote do Gordinho” after Parangolé.

The third canceled show would take place on Sunday (17), in Guarapari, from 10 p.m. The band’s performance, which would be free to the public, would be part of the city’s 132nd anniversary celebrations.

The group asks fans for strength

On Monday afternoon (11), members of the Molejo group published a message aimed at fans and entrepreneurs of the artists.

Leading the group, Andrezinho asked fans to continue to pray for Anderson Leonardo’s brief recovery. He also announced that Molejo would fill its entire concert lineup.
