Brazilians abroad: find out where they live

A survey by the Ministry of Relations showed that in 2022, 4.59 million Brazilians lived abroad. This figure is the highest since 2009, when 3.18 million Brazilians lived abroad.

The countries with the largest communities of Brazilians are:

  • WE: 1.9 million
  • Portugal: 360 thousand
  • Paraguay: 254 thousand
  • UNITED KINGDOM: 220 thousand
  • Japan: 207 thousand

The figures are an estimate by Itamaraty, referring to 2022.
