Shawn Mendes took to his social media to announce the cancellation of his tour in Europe and North America. The Canadian singer told fans he had to take care of his mental health and that touring required dedication.
“I need time”
“I started the tour excited to finally be able to play after so long due to the pandemic, but the reality is that I was unprepared for the difficulty the tour brought after this time. After talking to my team and working with amazing medical professionals, it has become clearer that I need some time to myself that I never had, to find myself and come back even stronger.he said.

Shawn also stressed that he needs to make his mental health a priority now and promises to return to the stage soon.
“Unfortunately, I have to cancel the rest of the North American and European tour. We were hoping to do the shows after we had some time off, but I have to put my health first. I promise to come back as soon as I have had time to heal. I love you, thank you for supporting me“, he finished.
To break
Earlier this month, Shawn Mendes had already postponed his tour, and at the time admitted he was on the edge with serious mental health issues.
“I’ve been touring since I was 15, and to be honest, it’s always been hard for me to be on the road away from my friends and family. After a few years of not doing it, I thought I was ready to come back, but that decision was premature.he said.
““It breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I will have to reschedule the next three weeks of shows in Uncasville, CT for a later date. I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it’s always been hard for me being on the road away from my friends and family.“, he reported.
