Brazil qualifies for freestyle final of World Junior Artistic Swimming

Brazil was present in two disputes on the third day of the World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships, which takes place in Quebec, Canada.

Murillo Cunha ended this Thursday (26) his individual participation in the Junior Artistic Swimming World Championship. The 18-year-old, who became the first Brazilian to compete in the artistic floor swimming worlds, competed in the free routine and finished in eighth place, with a score of 73.0333.

Dennis Boneu of Spain repeated the victory in the technical routine and won the gold medal; Sato Yotaro (JPN) and Edward Kim (KAZ) also repeated their places in the technical routine and won silver and bronze respectively in the free routine.

The Brazilian team was in action in the free routine preliminaries. Valentina Ambrosio, Gabriela Costa, Giovana Faria, Luzia Fonseca, Ana Clara Machado, Ana Gabrielly Melo, Sarah Ribeiro and Nicole Shinohara they played in the pool and were in tenth place with 75.4333, qualifying for the final – The top twelve teams qualified.

Friday (27) Brazil returns to the Canadian pool in the mixed duet free program with Valentina Ambrosio and Murillo Cunha and in the highlights final (set).
