Canadian singer Grimes, the ex-girlfriend of Elon Musk, has questioned Mark Zuckerberg’s ability to manage the metaverse of his company Meta. She called him “very unskilled”.
Grimes took to Twitter to speak out, after Zuckerberg was mocked on the internet for his basic, poorly made avatar on the Horizon Worlds platform.
“If Zuck ‘oversees the metaverse,’ he’s dead and people who care about art and culture are building something else. That’s bad art too,” the singer wrote in the tweet.
“The quality of this image alone shows how unskilled it is to build an alternate reality, literally every indie game is better.”
In a response, she continued, “Aesthetics aside, they’ve proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they’re not ethically capable of leading something so powerful and shouldn’t have the power. they have now.”
Born Claire Boucher, Grimes was in a relationship with Elon Musk between 2018 and 2022. Together, they have two children: X AE A-XII (pronounced “X AI Archangel” and nicknamed “X”) and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk (nicknamed the “Y”), via surrogacy in December.
