Palmeiras sold more than 30,000 tickets for the match against Juventude and will reach the number of one million fans at home games in the 2022 season. It will be the fourth time in a full season at Allianz Parque with such a mark .

The last time was in 2018, when Verdão won the Brasileirão title. Currently, Abel Ferreira’s side lead the competition with 51 points, seven points ahead of the Flamengo, second place. There are 13 rounds left until the end of the tournament. Palmeiras has an average population of 32,567 and it is the largest brand in the Allianz Parque era.
The other seasons over a million were in 2015 and 2017. The years 2014 (only two games in the stadium) and 2020 and 2021 (pandemic) do not count. Including this Saturday’s match (10), there will be seven more at home until the end of the national tournament.
The problem is that not all of them can be played at Allianz Parque. Due to concerts in October, Palmeiras will have to leave home and Arena Barueri becomes an alternative, as happened in the classic against Corinthians, in the first round of the Brazilian championship, and against Juazeirense, in the Copa do Brasil.
The duel against Juventude itself almost had a reduced capacity. Due to a performance on popstar Justin Bieber’s tour, Verdão had announced that he would not have full capacity for a duel. Indeed, the Gol Norte sector should receive fewer ventilators, while the Superior North sector would not be available.
The Canadian artist’s event has however been cancelled, with the official announcement taking place last Tuesday (6). In a post on social media, Time For Fun, responsible for carrying out the musician’s tour in Brazil, announced that the presentation was suspended for Justin to take care of his health.
