Rock in Rio 2022: What can make a show sound so low? experts explain
In the days leading up to the show, rumors arose that due to mental health issues, Justin Bieber would not be performing at the event. The rumor gained momentum after the singer himself requested that the show be brought forward – and after the entertainer landed in Rio de Janeiro the same day he performed at the event.
The bucket of cold water only came after Rock in Rio: after performing in Rio de Janeiro, the singer canceled the entire Latin American tour – which included shows in Chile and Argentina, in addition to Brazil (in Sao Paulo). The singer stressed, in a press release, that he was in a “battle with Ramsay-Hunt syndrome” and that he needed to “rest and see doctors”.
