After promoting the 279th edition last weekend, Ultimate is bringing together the world’s most famous octagon, this time at the Apex facility, for “UFC Vegas 60” this Saturday (17). The event, which will have as its main fight the duel between the bantamweight (61 kg) Cory Sandhagen and Song Yadong, will be broadcast by the ‘Combate’ channel, live, from 5:00 p.m. (Brasilia time).
Sandhagen and Yadong, the top 10 bantamweights in the UFC, arrive for the showdown at opposite times. The American, number four in the classification of the category, has just experienced two consecutive defeats, the last of which against Petr Yan, in a dispute valid for the interim belt of the division. The Chinese has won his last three engagements in the UFC octagon and is looking to maintain his rise in the organization.
UFC Vegas 60 will also feature four “Team Brazil” representatives. In the co-main event of the evening, Gregory ‘Robocop’ will meet the dangerous Chidi Njokuani. Also on the program of the show, Rodrigo Nascimento, ‘Zé Colmeia’, returns to the octagon after more than a year of absence and will face the Canadian Tanner Boser.
On the preliminary card, lightweight (70kg) Nikolas Motta will look for his first UFC victory over Cameron VanCamp, in the event opener. On the other hand, the debutante Denise Gomes – called at the last minute – will face the Thai Loma Lookboonmee, in a fight in the strawweight category (52 kg).
The ‘Combate’ channel is broadcasting the event live, starting at 5 p.m. this Saturday (17). The first two fights on the card will also be broadcast on the ‘Sportv 3’ channel, on the ‘Combate.com’ website and on the Combate channel on ‘Youtube’. The report of Ag. fight will be paying attention and covering the show, with reports on the attraction’s main clashes.
