Mexico’s Tigres plans to loan Soteldo to Brazilian club

Venezuelan midfielder Yeferson Soteldo rose to prominence in Brazilian football after his good times at Santos. In April 2021, the player ended up signing with Toronto, a Canadian club that plays in MLS. However, in North America, the Venezuelan didn’t have a good run of games and ended up going to Tigres de México, in a trade deal for a defender.

But for the Mexican club, Soteldo is losing ground and could end up being traded by Tigres. According to ‘Ace Mexico’, the 25-year-old midfielder could leave the club after the arrival of Brazilian defender Samir Santos, because he would have to obtain a foreign place in the squad. Still according to the Mexican press, Soteldo’s new destination could be the saintsa club in which the athlete marked his time playing in Brazil.

Ace also informs that negotiations are already underway and very well underway for the return of the Venezuelan player to Peixe. Soteldo played for Santos between 2019 and 2021, where he scored 19 goals and provided 16 assists in 87 games played.

Holys away wins for the Brazilian Championship

For the 21st round of the Brasileirão Serie A, Santos traveled to the capital of Paraná to face Coritiba on the lawn of the Couto Pereira stadium. With goals from Madson and Bryan Angulo, Peixe won 2-1 and reached 30 points, in 9th place. With that, Santos has already marked a four-match unbeaten streak in the competition, with two wins and two draws.

Santos returns to the field next Sunday (14), at 6:00 p.m., where he will face América-MG at home to Vila Belmiro, in a match valid for the 22nd day of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.
