São Paulo – The President of the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, posted on his Twitter profile a message inviting “voters and female voters” to go to the polls on Sunday (2). “Let us all vote with Peace, Security and Harmony; Respect and freedom; Consciousness and Responsibility. Together, all Brazilians in the great party of Democracy: the general elections of 2022,” he wrote.
Although some news vehicles said Moraes would make a statement on national radio and television this Saturday (1st), on the eve of the election, the press office said RBA that the minister is in São Paulo and that this speech is not planned. He could possibly speak to the press.
On Sunday, Moraes will have a busy schedule in Brasilia. Starting at 12:00 p.m., he will visit the Canadian School to follow a pilot project with biometrics in the electronic voting integrity test.
At 1 p.m. he goes to the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District, where he will attend the integrity test carried out by the Regional Court of the Federal District (TRE-DF), which takes place on voting days to prove the security and reliability of the election. Then, on Sunday at 2 p.m., the minister will give a press conference at the TSE.
Finally, at 3 p.m., the agenda includes a visit to the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICCN) at the headquarters of the Federal Highway Police (PRF). The body will act in the prevention and repression of electoral crimes in coordination with representatives of the TSE, the civil and military police, military firefighters, the Ministry of Defence, the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), secretariats of public security and the national secretariat for protection and civil defense (Sedec).
