Alongside the Canadian, Luísa Stefani returns to the WTA 250 circuit in Chennai

Luisa Stefani makes her debut this Wednesday (14) at the WTA 250 in Chennai, India, a hard-court event that kicked off on Monday (12). Luisa returns to the courts after a year off due to anterior cruciate ligament surgery in her knee.

The Paulistani plays with the Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski, 11th in the world, and faces the duo formed by the Greek Despina Papamichail and the Briton Katie Swan, at 8:30 a.m. (Brasilia time), in the first match of court 2.

Luisa and Gabi formed a duo in the second half of last year, with a WTA 1000 title in Montreal, Canada, and runners-up at the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati and WTA 500 in San Jose, USA. and semi-finals at the US Open, a North American Grand Slam in which Luisa ended up getting injured.
