A veterinary nurse who lives in British Columbia, Canada, says she found what appears to be a human finger bone in a packet of vegan snacks.

According to the British tabloid Daily Mirror, the woman, who asked to remain anonymous, was eating her Harvest Snaps pea snack with colleagues when she noticed something strange at the bottom of the wrapper.

As he was about to finish the product made by the Calbee Group, and noticed what looked like a bone, he immediately felt sick. Quoted by the tabloid, the veterinary nurse claims that the human trace could be a phalanx, a type of bone that forms our finger.

She says it’s possible to identify structures called condyles, which are the rounded projections at the ends of bones, normally associated with joints.

According to the Daily Mirror, the veterinary nurse believes the bone appears to be too small to belong to an average-sized adult human.

“It looks too big to come from a rodent. It would have to be a really big mouse to actually be a knuckle. We’re not really sure. It’s about the size of a proximal knuckle human. [base do dedo], but a bit small. If it is not human, it could come from a creature which was in the field and which was “harvested”, explains the Canadian, in an interview with the British tabloid.

The nurse also reveals that she attempted to contact the Calbee Group, who reportedly replied, “We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent purchase. As our valued customer, we highly value to the health, safety and satisfaction of you and your family.”

The company would also have asked the Canadian to send the “foreign body”.
