FIFA announced, this Saturday (26), the referee team of Brazil x Switzerland. The match will take place this Monday (28), at 1 p.m. (Brasília time), at the 974 stadium, in Doha. Valid for the second round of the group stage of the World Cup. Thus, the match will be judged by Ivan Barton, from El Salvador.
It’s the same referee who whistled Japan win 2-1 over Germany in the first round, last Wednesday (23). In addition, he also captained Brazil 4 x 2 Germany, in the first round of the 2021 Olympics. The judge will be assisted by David Moran, also from El Salvador, and Zachari Zeegelaar, from Suriname. The fourth official is Honduran Said Martinez, while Canadian Drew Fischer will command VAR.
For this match against Switzerland, Brazil already knows that it will not be able to count on striker Neymar and right-back Danilo, both injured. Antony, with flu-like symptoms, did not train this Saturday (26) or last Friday (25) and is doubtful.
The Brazilian team has a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup early. For that, we must win and hope for a tie between Serbia and Cameroon, who will play earlier, at 7am. Then, Brazil ends the first phase against Cameroon, Friday (02), at 4 p.m.
