A worker is suspended 100 meters from a crane in Canada

A worker was left hanging more than 100 meters high in an accident involving a crane on Tuesday (5) in Ontario, Canada. According to the Canadian broadcaster CBC News, the man is doing well despite the fear of almost falling.

In videos posted to social media, the crane can be seen swinging and the hanged boy moving from side to side while shaking his legs. Witnesses ask him to hold on and he is slowly lowered to the ground.

The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has confirmed the incident and that an investigator has been dispatched to investigate what happened.

“A worker was reported to have become entangled in a crane’s line cable after securing a load. He was lifted and sustained injuries.”

A spokesperson for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. says the man is doing well.

“Fortunately he was brought down safely and not seriously injured,” he said.

Toronto police, firefighters and paramedics said they received no calls related to the incident.

PCL said it was “working with all relevant authorities” and an investigation was underway.
