The Brazilian team had something to celebrate with the sporting results of the weekend. At the Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, Alice Gomes and Camilla Lopes achieved historic results for the country in this modality. In handball, the Brazilian women’s team beat hosts South-Centro Americano, a competition held in Argentina last Saturday, 19.

World Trampoline Gymnastics with historic results
Alice Gomes and Camilla Lopes finished 12th and 13th respectively in the World Trampoline Gymnastics Championships, in the individual event, held in Bulgaria. The duo also finished the competition in seventh place on the synchronized springboard. These are Brazil’s best results in the modality.
Brazil beat Argentina in South American handball
The Brazilian women’s handball team was the champion of South Central America, held in Buenos Aires, in the final against Argentina by 26 to 19. Brazil maintained 100% success in the competition and won gold for the third time in three editions. With the result, the two countries secured places for the world cup which will take place in December 2023 in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Bronze in singles and mixed doubles in badminton
Brazilian Ygor Coelho won bronze at the badminton Peru Challenge, held in Lima. In the men’s singles tournament, the athlete won three matches before falling in the semi-finals against Canadian Jason Ho-Shue. Sania Lima and Davi Silva also reached the podium in mixed doubles, securing another bronze medal for Brazil.
Marcus D’almeida increases the collection of titles in archery
The Brazilian Archery Championship, held in Maricá (RJ), ended last Saturday, the 19th, with two gold medals for the athlete Marcus D’almeida. In individual, the archer won the title for the seventh time. Alongside Ane Marcelle, who also took the top step of the podium in singles, Marcus won another gold medal in mixed doubles.
Brazilian Beach Volleyball Circuit
The 2022 Brazilian Beach Volleyball Circuit ended this Sunday with the final of the Niterói stage, the fifteenth of the season. In the women’s category, Taiana and Hegê defeated Tainá/Vic by 2 sets to 1 and won the title of the tournament and the season. On the men’s side, George and André Stein defeated Vitor Felipe/Renato, 2 sets to 0, in the third final between the two pairs this year and became three-time Tour champions.
Brazilian Breaking Championship
For the first time, Breaking now had a national championship as an official sport and on the agenda of the Olympic Games. Hailing from São Paulo, B-girls Toquinha, Mini Japa and Fran took first, second and third place respectively. Among the men, the B-boys Luan San, champion, Leony, vice-champion, and Rato, bronze, also made it onto the podium.
