December’s selection of indie music videos starts with post-punk guitars, goes through grunge and ends on the dance floor, moving from distortion to electronic beats.

Taking advantage of the fact that the month was “short” – after the 18th there were practically no new releases – the playlist also includes some recent clips that did not “fit” in the latest calculations.

Highlights include new English post-punk singles from Public Body, American grunge from the trio Bass Drums of Death, shoegazer from Canadian twins Softcult, American grunge from Dosser and Bombshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum’s project), synthpop from Italian band Nuovo Testament and American singer Caroline Polachek and home to rocker Jamie xx (from band xx) and rapper Shygirl, both English.

As always, videos are organized by sound affinity in a playlist – to watch on Smart TV, search for Cast in Chrome’s Settings tab or More Tools/Cast etc in Edge. Some videos are a little older (September and October) to adapt to the sequence of tracks and accentuate the impression of video recording. Experience skip-free listening on YouTube Premium (no ad interruptions).
