Canadian metalheads THE FIXER release single and music video for “Depart”

By review

Canadian band The Fixer have released their new single, titled “Depart”. The track is accompanied by a music video. The Fixer embarks on a new musical journey with new members Ryan Osbourne and Dr. Wiggins joining Melladonna and Vic Sin, armed with an incredibly catchy new single for their track “Depart”. The band moves on to the next chapter as they follow along with a sense of urgent and insistent rhythms; soaring lead guitars; melodic singing; and dirty hooks from all the members.

Drawing inspiration from the sonic palette of industrial sounds and goth-tinged hard rock you’d expect from their previous work, the band blend punk and electronics into the track to create what could be described as a hard rock rager worthy of a raver. .

While Depart shows a new musical dimension to the band’s sound; Melladona and Vic collaborated to make what might be the band’s biggest leap into new territory (lyrically). The song embodies the frustration of being stuck in a situation you can’t change and knowing how to make the situation better.

“Depart” packs a heartbreaking punch the band has yet to explore, taking listeners on a memorable and simple journey. The sound brings the weight of New Metal with the good guitar arrangements of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock: all with a dark arrangement and a female voice.
