Brazil men’s national team basketball premieres this Friday (1) on America’s Cup. For group A, Brazil measures its strength against Canada in the city of Recife, the only place of the competition. It will be the first edition of the men’s basketball tournament on Brazilian territory since 1984. The match will be broadcast live on SporTV 2.

Brazil rack up a streak of negative results

In recent days, coach Gustavo de Conti’s team lost in the World Cup qualifiers. Brazil lost to Panama and Mexico, put in danger qualifying for the world cup next year. Previously, the national team had already lost against Colombia, who occupy the bottom of Group F. The next window of matches for the qualifiers takes place in November, with matches against the United States and Mexico.

This Thursday (1), there was confirmation of the 12 players who will represent the Selection at the Copa America.
