Three Brazilian duos win the Elite 16 qualifier in Doha

The first stage of the World Tour 2023 started early this Wednesday (01) and has already started with good news for Brazil. Three Brazilian pairs went through the qualification process and qualified for the group stage of the competition, in Doha, Qatar.

In the qualifying phase, Andressa/Victory they beat the Ukrainians Lunina/Lazarenko by 2 sets to 1 (21/19, 21/23 and 15/8) then the Japanese Ishii/Mizoe by 2 to 0 (21/18 and 21/10).

Saymon/Vinicius they easily defeated the Canadians MacNeil/Russell by 2 to 12/21 and 14/21 then the Spaniards Herrera/Gavira by 2 to 1 (21-18, 21/19 and 12/15).

Talita/Thamela they beat the Austrian duo by 2 sets to 1 (21/18, 15/21 and 15/8) and only needed one game to confirm the next phase.

Taiana Lima/Hegeile were beaten by the Germans Borger/Ittlinger in the last qualifying match by 2-1 (19/21, 21/14 and 15/10) and were dismissed.
