Sales were near the bottom of analysts’ forecasts consulted by Dow Jones Newswirewhich forecast a volume of between 500,000 tonnes and 1.2 million tonnes in the week.

Shipments for the period totaled 666,400 tonnes in the week, 3% lower than the previous week, but 13% higher than the previous four-week average.

The main destinations were Mexico (338.7 thousand t), Colombia (126.7 thousand t), Japan (85.4 thousand t), Honduras (51.9 thousand t) and Canada (14.6 thousand t).
