Who is Dominic Fike?
Brazil lost the debut of a 27-year-old artist who stands out in drama and music.
Dominic David Fike recorded his first EP, “Don’t forget about me demos” (2017), at the age of 21, while under house arrest for assaulting a police officer in Florida.
The beginning of the story of the young man of Haitian, Filipino and African American descent resembles that of a character in the HBO series “Euphoria”.
But Dominic Fike has become a rare case where the reality has become more glamorous than the fiction of his lyrics and scripts.

The EP recorded in the boredom of house arrest sparked a rush from record labels to sign the singer-songwriter, who makes a thought-provoking mix of rap, folk and alternative rock.
He signed with Columbia in 2018, and released the album “What Could Possible Go Wrong” in 2020, a year before his acting debut in “Euphoria”.
Dominic befriended rap collective Brockhampton and singer Halsey. In 2021, he enters the track “Die for you”, taken from the album “Justice”, by Justin Bieber.
He’s made more powerful connections: In 2019, former US President Barack Obama recommended Dominic Fike’s “3 Nights” to his holiday reading list.
Today’s headline sheet
The following year, it was Billie Eilish’s turn to say that Dominic’s “Chicken Tenders” had been one of her favorite songs of the year.
Billie Eilish sings the same day as him at Lollapalooza. She is not the only headliner of the day to have turned to Dominic Fike. The singer and actor once kissed Lil Nas X in Brockhampton’s “Count on me” video.
