Tax reform working group meeting
The Tax Reform Task Force (PEC 45/19, House, and 110/19, Senate) is promoting a public hearing this Wednesday (15) to discuss international good practices in consumption taxation.
The debate was proposed by MPs Sidney Leite (PSD-AM), Ivan Valente (Psol-SP), Newton Cardoso Jr (MDB-MG) and Mauro Benevides Filho (PDT-CE).

– Professor of tax law at the University of Leeds (England) Rita de la Feria;
– the financial adviser of the Spanish Embassy in Brazil, Francisco Javier Sánchez Gallardo;
– Marcos Aurélio Pereira Valadão, lawyer, post-doctoral student in law and member of the Tax Reform Commission of the OAB/DF;
– the course director at the University of York (Canada) Melina Rocha;
– economic consultant Antônio Lício;
– former senior economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and tax policy consultant Ricardo Varsano;
– senior researcher at the Tax Studies Center of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) Isaias Coelho; It is

The hearing will take place in plenary 2 at 2.30 p.m.
Work group
Created on February 15 in the Chamber of Deputies, the tax reform working group has 90 days to complete its work, which can be extended on request.
The collegiate church is coordinated by the deputy Reginaldo Lopes (PT-MG). The rapporteur is the deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB), who also reported this PEC in the legislature last.
