More than 39,000 family farmers will benefit from the harvest guarantee in March

was published this Monday (20), by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming (MDA), in an Extra Edition of the Federal Official Gazette, the SAF Order No. 8which determines the payment of the harvest guarantee to 39,000 farmers who joined the benefit during the 2021/2022 harvest.

This month, farmers in Alagoas, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte will receive payment. The total amount of funds will exceed R$ 33 million.

The action aims to guarantee the food security of family farmers residing in regions systematically subject to crop losses due to drought or floods.

Farmers whose monthly income does not exceed 1.5 minimum wages are entitled to receive the benefit, in a single payment of R$850, when they have production losses equal to or greater than 50%. The Harvest Guarantee is paid according to the scale of social benefits.

Regularization

Farmers adhering to the harvest guarantee whose granting of the benefit has been blocked in the municipalities with payment authorization in March/2023 must comply with the guidelines set out in Ordinance No. 25, of July 8, 2020to regularize the situation.

If the benefit is blocked, the farmer must access his profile on Harvest Guarantee Management System and check the reason for blocking by checking the notification in your profile.

The farmer will have up to 30 days, after the publication of the Order authorizing the payment of the benefit, to comment on the blocking, through the intermediary of the service “Request a request for defense after blocking the benefit of the harvest guarantee”on the Gov.br platform.

Consult here the list of farmers who had the granting of the allowance blocked, as a precaution, according to Ordinance No. 25, of July 8, 2020. The same list is sent by the State Coordinations to the municipal managers.
