Aston Martin have already confirmed the participation of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll in the Dutch GP this weekend, marking the return of F1 after the summer holidays. The Canadian will however be absent from press activities at Circuit Zandvoort this Thursday; according to the team, he is recovering from an infection, although he is doing well.
– Lance is recovering from an infection and will therefore not be attending press duties today. He is in good shape and will be racing in the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend.”

Alonso’s young teammate is ninth in the 2023 Drivers’ Championship, with 47 points. He is yet to make the podium this season after 12 rounds and boasts a fourth place at the Australian GP as his best result.
In case he – or the double Spanish champion – misses the team during an official F1 session, two drivers will occupy the marque’s bench: the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich, current Formula 2 champion, and the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne, Formula 1 champion. And in 2022.
