Charter flights from Warsaw, the capital of Poland, to Salvador start on October 29. The lines will operate until April 7, 2024, always on Sundays, with an estimate to bring 7,000 Poles to Bahia, injecting around 35 million reais into the economy. The trips will be carried out aboard a Lot Polish Airlines Boeing 787-900, with a capacity of 294 passengers.
To discuss the final details of the start of this unprecedented operation, the State Secretariat for Tourism (Setur-BA) met, in the capital of Bahia, with the travel operator Itaka, the largest in Europe in Is responsible for the thefts. “Bahia is the first Brazilian destination sold by Itaka. To increase tourist attraction, we will carry out a promotional action in Warsaw, with training of local travel agents on our visitor reception infrastructure and attractions of the 13 tourist zones of the state,” explained the head of Setur -BA, Mauricio Bacélar.
“The operation will be a success. I have a very positive impression of Bahia and the hospitality of the people caught my attention,” added Tomasz Kaliszan, Itaka contract manager.
The meeting also took place in the presence of the hospitality company AmahBrazil, partner of Itaka, and Vinci Airports, which manages Salvador airport. “We are ready to welcome the Poles, in a new step forward at Bahia Airport, where we have developed joint work with the State Government, to expand international air connectivity,” said the CEO of Vinci to Brazil, Júlio Ribas.
