Bolsonaro supporters demonstrate in the United States, Canada and Europe

The organizers want participants to wear the green and yellow t-shirt or that of the Brazilian team.

Supporters of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) marked protests in other countries in favor of the law on Sunday (February 25, 2024), on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo. Events were scheduled in the United States, Canada, France, Spain and Germany.

Leaders of protests abroad in support of Bolsonaro are demanding that demonstrators dress in green and yellow or, alternatively, the Brazilian national team t-shirt. Some movements have official Instagram pages.

Here are the event locations – Brasilia time:

  • Frankfurt (Germany) – Alte Oper, at 10 a.m.;
  • Paris (France) – La Défense, at 11 a.m.;
  • Barcelona (Spain) – Arc de Triomphe, at 11 a.m.;
  • Boston (United States) – Harvard Square, at 2:30 p.m.;
  • Toronto (Canada) – Dufferin Grove Park, at 4 p.m.

BOLSONARO LAW

This Sunday’s (February 25) event will take place in front of the Masp, on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo. According to Fabio Wajngarten, lawyer and adviser to Bolsonaro, 700,000 people are expected.

The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeo Zema (New), confirmed this Saturday (February 24) its participation in the demonstration. They are 3 other governors expected. That of Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello (PL), is in the United Arab Emirates, but plans to return to Brazil to participate in the event. Besides him, the governor of São Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil), and the mayor of the capital of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), they said they would go there too.

The demonstration must also bring together at least 11 senators and 92 federal deputies.
