At the time, they arrived with Lindley to work on product development, Company and Sales, Brian Daly and Paul McManus, respectively as Vice President of Product Strategy and Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Both were involved in the sale of compliance and anti-fraud startup 4Stop to Jumio, one of the leading digital identity platforms in the United States.
All these names structure a worldwide operation, today with offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, London, Toronto and Austin, as well as the headquarters in the small Venâncio Aires, in Rio Grande do Sul.
According to the company, its strong point is to have state-of-the-art technology for the so-called proof of life, recognized by the iBeta biometric testing laboratory.
Thanks to this system, CAF was able to avoid BRL 877.4 million in fraud with customers such as Magalu, iFood, Mutual, Zoop, Asaas and Closer.
RACE BY CONTRACTS
With the signings, CAF is heating up the race with Unico, another up-and-coming biometrics company, its main competitor in Brazil.
Unico followed the same strategy of bringing in senior executives to join the team. One of the latest was Fernanda Beato, former regional vice president of the commercial area of Salesforce, as executive director of sales for the enterprise segment.
In 2021, the company hired Francine Graci (ex-Twitter), as VP of HR; Cinthia Battilani (ex-Nike), as Legal Director; Pâmela Vaiano (ex-99 and J&J), as communications director; and Marcelo Quintella (ex-Google), as Product VP.
Igor Ripoll (ex-Salesforce and Microsoft) has been hired as vice president of sales and customer success; Gabriela Onofre (ex-J&J and P&G), as CMO; and Guilherme Cervieri (ex-Igah Ventures), as VP M&A.
