Canadian drag racing: Canada against the world killed audience expectations when it premiered on Friday, November 18. The fierce competition features a cast roster of epic proportions, with queens from the US, UK and “Down Under” (Australia) taking on queens from Canada. A global battle royale, the winner of the show collects $100,000, plus a dazzling crown and scepter courtesy of Amped Accessories.

In the first edition of the program (Drag Race UK vs the World), the British take control of the crown, as Blu Hydrangea is sworn in as the first, “Queen of the Mothertucking World.” This year, Canadian contenders ‘True, North, Strong and Fierce’ steal the show as they fight to defend the inaugural title of ‘Queen of the Fatherland’. Having been unexpectedly ejected from drag race just below the Top 3, she intends to reign victorious. Victoria returns in a dress inspired by Irish drag royalty, Danny La Rue. She describes her style as that of a buffet: “I am literally a bit of everything. I look really good, I’m a comedy queen, I’m an entertainer… also a pageant queen. I’m the complete Sunday roast.🇧🇷

The first Maxi Challenge: groups of girls

Canadian Drag Race host Brooke Lynn Heights greets the ladies and insists, “you [queens] They will have to divide if they want to conquer. For this week’s Maxi Challenge, competitors form teams of three for the Female Group Competition. Finally, Anjulie heads to the SRV team. The team passes the lyrical test with flying colors; however, Anjulie insists that Ra’Jah must remain focused on controlling his breathing. “Who told me I was Busta Rhymes in this thing?” Ra’Jah sneers. It should be noted that SRV’s Silky features his vocals on one of the drag racethe most watched presentations of all time.

Canada’s (Not So) Drag Race Dancers: Canada Against the World

Then the groups of girls follow by blocking their choreography. As part of Team Touché, Victoria leads a group effort in team dancing. Despite a lot of effort, Rita struggles to keep up. “I tend to fart a lot when trying to learn new steps” she admits.

“If we want it [Stephanie] whether she takes the lead or not, she has decided that she is the choreographer of the group and that she will lead us to victory”, Icesis growls sarcastically. The Maple-She-rups bite an ambitious number and become cautious because they don’t know if they will succeed. The team’s trust in Stephanie begins to crumble.

It’s no surprise that SRV is full of confidence. Vanity, a professional dancer, leads her team of drag race lip sync killers. “These girls are artists, and I know we have that in the bag”, she says. SRV will certainly put on a good show.

All but the Maple She-rups thrive on their renditions of “Hello, Hi”; however, the challenge is judged individually. The inferior queens, Anita, Stephanie and Kendall, are in danger of being rejected. Despite a shaky performance and track, Anita is declared safe.

Canada Drag Race: Canada vs. The world’s first elimination

Top Two Queens of the Week Rita and Vanity Dub Their Legacy “Pucking”there🇧🇷 In a petty performance of Anjuli’s “Brand New Bitch”, Vanity emerges victorious and therefore decides who is eliminated. She must choose between two Canadian counterparts: Kendall and Stephanie.

Season 2 runner-up Kendall has a spectacular entrance look and does well in the drag race Maximum challenge. However, the judges do not interpret her outfit as “Queen of the World”, but rather as the Queen’s personal assassin. Meanwhile, Stephanie reads fluffy K-POP during her performance, but struggles with the critics during the Maxi Challenge and on the track.
