Canadian actress Stefanie Sherk, wife of Mexican actor Demian Bichir, died on April 20, according to the interpreter on Wednesday in a press release published on her Instagram account.
In the message published in the early morning, Bichir affirmed that his wife died in “complete peace”, but did not reveal the cause or location of a death which caused him “indescribable pain”.
“These were the saddest and most painful days of our lives and we don’t know how long it will take to get over this pain,” said the Quentin Tarantino “Hateful Eight” actor.
Bichir highlighted the “beautiful, angelic and talented” presence of Sherk, with whom he had worked on the film “Refúgio” (2016), the first film of the famous Mexican performer.
His relationship with the Canadian model and actress began years after Bichir’s divorce from Mexican singer Lisset Gutiérrez.
“My Stefanie will remain in our memories and will forever remain in our hearts,” underlined the actor, who asked for the family’s privacy in these days of mourning.
Accompanying his message in English and Spanish, the interpreter of Fidel Castro in the film “Che: The Argentinian” by Steven Soderbergh published a photograph of his wife.
In addition to working with her husband on “Refúgio” and the series “A Ponte”, Sherk starred in films such as “Idas e Comings of Love” (2010) and the reboot of “O Scream”, in which Bichir also participates and its debut is planned for 2020.
