Canadian breaks the Guinness record by planting 23,000 trees in 24 hours | News

the canadian Anthony Moses achieved quite a feat, which earned him a world record: planted 23,060 trees in just 24 hours, or a new plant every 3.5 seconds. Last month, Guinness recognized the 23-year-old’s achievement, which took place in July 2021.

“I’m proud to say I’m officially awesome. Last year I broke the world record for planting trees and it was finally approved by the guinness world record. Thanks again to my amazing team who helped me through this challenge!” he wrote on his Instagram.

The young man was found by Book of Records thanks to the videos published on their social networks. With this action, he hopes to reverse the effects caused by deforestation in Canada and encourage other people to fight for the preservation of nature.

Antoine specializes in the rapid planting of vegetation, a technique that uses a lot of seeds, few tools and more physical strength in the activity. He often travels to areas affected by fires to try to reclaim forests and believes he has already planted more than a million trees in Canada.

The fact that he runs marathons has contributed to the record, as he is used to activities that require more effort. Until Antoine’s exploit, the global brand belonged to Canadian Kenny Chaplin, who had planted 15,170 trees at the same time.
