Protests took place in every major city across Canada. The movement even encouraged students to leave schools and join the marches.
“Together we stand united to safeguard the well-being and innocence of our children.”.
In several cities, during marches against the ideology, Proponents of gender theories for children have attempted to promote a contrary demonstration.
Calgary City Children’s March organizer Mahmoud Mourra says he considers the Except for those who believe the march is based on hate:
“I can’t impose my Islamic ideology on someone’s life. I don’t want them to introduce gender ideology into my children’s lives. The speech was delivered in a newspaper interview World News.
The president of the Alberta Teachers’ Association attacked the movement in a statement:
“The march is part of a coordinated attack across North America to promote misinformation, bigotry and hatred against the LGBTQ+ community, and to attack teachers who work to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
All students deserve to feel safe and welcome at school. Alberta teachers are continually working to include all students and their families, to protect them from discrimination in schools. Efforts that include supporting sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) education are not at all what the protesters are claiming at the march.
SOGI Education aims to ensure that gender diverse students and their families feel safe in schools by ensuring that all other students receive better explanations about how others may identify.
