Canadian player’s mother goes crazy watching son on TV during World Cup

Canada lost their World Cup debut in Qatar to Belgium 1-0. In the Canadian city of Calgary, left-back Sam Adekugbe’s mother, Dee Adekugbe, was simply happy in front of the television when she saw his son.

Dee Adekugbe was thrilled as she pointed at the TV screen and shouted, “My son is in the World Cup!” See below!

Sam Adekugbe came on in the 28th minute when he replaced Laryea. The Canadian now has 35 games with the national team and one goal scored – this one in the playoffs, against the United States.

With the defeat, Canada occupies the last place of group F. The Canadians return to the field on Sunday (27), against Croatia.
